Nabsamruddhi signs MOU for collaborating with FINISH Mondial through Trust of People on Climate Resilient WASH lending

NABSAMRUDDHI Finance Limited(NSFL) entered into an MoU for collaborating with FINISH MONDIAL program through Trust of People(TOP) for partnering in the promotion of Climate Resilient Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) lending. The same was signed by Smt. Bonani Roychoudhury, MD, NSFL and Shri Abhijit Banerji, Secretary, TOP.

NABSAMRUDDHI and TOP Trust intend to work together to promote the growth and development of climate-ready WASH ecosystem and the value chain comprising households, MSMEs and communities and to further the cause of improving access to safe water and sanitation for people at the base of the economic pyramid. WASH financing is being increasingly recognised as an effective way to support genderresponsive and climate-resilient WASH solutions and has emerged as NSFL’s champion segment under its focus segment of Green & Wellness Finance.

TOP Trust is implementing the FINISH MONDIAL program funded by the Dutch Government through a social service organization called WASTE for the purpose of sanitation and waste management among the rural poor to improve their health and address environmental issues.

While signing the MoU, both the entities expressed satisfaction over the fact that in a very short span of time, NSFL has been able to sanction credit for interventions under WASH to the extent of INR 250 crore and expressed their keenness to take the Mandate of Climate ready WASH financing forward through collaborative efforts in partnership with NBFCs, MFIs, HFCs as well as in project mode.
